What is a Tenant Rep?

A tenant rep, or tenant representative, is a real estate professional who represents the interests of tenants in commercial real estate transactions. This can include helping tenants find and negotiate leases for office, retail, or industrial space.

Tenant reps typically work with businesses that are looking to lease or rent commercial space. They may also be involved in negotiations related to renewing or modifying existing leases. The goal of a tenant rep is to help their clients find the best possible space at the most favorable terms and conditions.

Tenant reps typically work on a commission basis, meaning they are paid a percentage of the total value of the lease. They may also charge an hourly rate for their services.

Tenant reps can be helpful for businesses that are new to the process of leasing commercial space or that are unfamiliar with the local real estate market. They can provide valuable expertise and guidance to help businesses find the right space for their needs and negotiate favorable lease terms.

I've worked with many tenants to help them identify, negotiate and secure a commercial space that best aligns with the needs of their business. If you're a business owner in Louisville, KY or its surrounding areas, I'd be happy to help you find the perfect space for you and your business!
